An Engagement Party...

Sunday afternoon, we had an engagement party

for Paul and Ashley (one of my sisters)...

It was really nice to be a part of such a celebration.

I still can't believe that she's getting married,

I mean, I know the time was a comin, but still...

the gorgeous and yummy cake...

they did ALOT of mingling!

so many people wanted to see her ring, she quickly obliged:)

The "main event" of the party, was for Paul and Ashley

to "tell their story" of how it all began...

then they showed a video of the actual engagment which included
a special video from paul, a blindfold, a helicopter, some horses,
a long trail, a red carpet and tiki torches...
sounds fun huh!
It was alot of fun to watch!

yes, I know Ben is pretty tan at the moment,

the man just got back from the Virgin Islands
he has a very rough life as a pilot...

we ended the party with a prayer over Paul and Ashley,

then everyone started to cheer for them...

A cooking blog...

So, this is my best friend, Amy or Ames as I call her...

and she loves to cook, I mean really, really cook

and she's REALLY good at it too!

Her husband gets like a real meal every night!

Ben is so jealous!

Frankly, I am too!

So, after a long time of pondering, prayer,

encouragement from friends,

and ALOT of pleading from her annoying friend, Ali

(who is that girl anyways?) she has decided to share all of her fun

and easy recipes with every human being in the world,

so I decided to do my part in that and write a post about it!

Because, ya know, I know ALOT of humans!

Summer's almost here...

The other day it was 93 degree outside, so HOT!

So when the boys got home from school, we grabbed their suits

and the sprinkler and just enjoyed the weather!

It made me want to run out and buy new water toys!

So we turned on the only sprinkler we could find...

But the water was FREEZING!!!

So they made water balloons instead!

Even Ella got in on the action...

apparently, Ella doesn't like the cold water either!

Or a water balloon in the face from her brothers!

*sigh*

...I wonder how the pool will go this summer?

So she just stayed away and stole their toys...

"I'll just go mow, afterall this is Oklahoma
and it might be snowin next week!"

A little more than groceries...

So , I went to Walmart the other day for some groceries and wound up walking through the girls clothes and found this cute little number, well and a bunch of other cute things too, but no pics of those yet! She looked so cute, I thought I'd share..

yes, I usually do take a picture of her in EVERY cute outfit!

It's part of having a girl, right?

Have I said before, how much I LOVE those legs!

The princess has a new throne...

Yep, it's potty time!

No, not really, but we bought her one

so she can at least get used to it.

It even plays music when she does her business!

The best thing...it's pink!

Easter '09

It seems like Easter was already "forever ago"! But I'm just now posting pictures! It was a beautiful Easter in the sense that we were able to celebrate Jesus and that he rose from the dead and is Alive with us now, Praise God, He is a loving God!

The weather, on the other hand, was rainy and bleak! We went to my aunt's house for the McAuliff annual easter egg hunt, but couldn't do it because of the rain so they improvised and did some things inside, but it just wasn't the same! Plus, Ella REFUSED to sit down and take pictures with her brothers beforehand, she just wanted to play! Oh well, maybe next year!
